Just down from the cabin is a great beach that the kids like to go to. At the cabin our beach is either rocks and weeds, or deer flies so the kids like it better down a little ways at the public beach. The boys find skipping rocks and build sandcastles and the girls just played with the sand or destroyed the castles the boys made. McKinley would not stand still to get her picture taken with the other cousins she insisted on almost eating the sand and made a big fit when it was time to go. I don't know what it is about sand but they love it.
